History of JavaScript and EcmaScript?
JavaScript
Javascript was invented by Brenden Eich in 1995.
It was developed for Netscape and became the ECMA-262 standard in 1997.
Initially known as the mocha after sometimes its name LiveScript, Netscape changed the name to javascript so they could position it as a companion for the Java language, a product of their partner, sun microsystem.
Its earliest releases suffered from notable performance and security issues, but developers had no alternatives.
ECMAScript
The ECMAScript specification is a standardized specification of a scripting language developed by Brenden Eich of Netscape.
Netscape announced a meeting of the Ecma international standards organization to advance the standardization of javascript.
The first edition of ECMA-262 was adopted by the ECMA general assembly in June 1997.
Ecma-5 is discovered in 2009 for the map and foreach and Ecma-6 is discovered in 2015
